| is this a blue trout? Hi folks I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some information. I have been fishing an old abandoned quarry in newton merns just outside glasgow for about 3 years, the quarry has been stocked by locals with brown trout perch and roach. A couple of days ago i pulled out this trout that had aqua colouring across its back im thinking its a blue trout and someone has stocked rainbows in with the browns but im not sure? Does anyone have any ideas as to why the fish is this colour? check the link for a picture of the fish, its not the best picture as you cant really see the aqua colouring from this angle, look closley near the dorsal fin and you should just about see what im talking about. thanks for any comments.
