 what would you do So some of you will know ive been fishing the local res quite a bit recently ,firstly for pike then last week for bream but a day fishing is not enough to target these species you need an overnight session at least,Now this is my prdicament as overnighting on this water is against the rules . This is where it gets tempting as british waterways who own the water are selling it to a private company  and have sacked the bailiffs off ready for take over in three months time so does this mean its open water or do normal rules still aply WHAT WOULD YOU DO?  __________________ give a man a fish and feed him for a day ,teach a man to fish and he will be gone for a week fishing is a discipline in the equality of men ,for all men are equal in the eyes of a fish     |

| Re: what would you do Tempting as it may be.......I would wait until the new owners have put up the new signs. I understand that with the sacking of staff etc in preperation of the change it may be in limbo, but I personaly would not want to lower myself to the level of those that may have already done it, perhaps have been for years. Sorry to be a stick in the mud, but I tend to follow the rules in my fishing, no matter how daft they are.  Don't lower you own standards, you may well be rewarded when the 'New' fishery opens. | Re: what would you do There is a water like that near me. My method not everyone s to prepear alot of ground bait consisting of hemp, dead maggot, sweetcorn, chick pea, and crushed boilies. I will the spod one spot for 3 days some where quiet that people don't fish and then fish it after 3 days. I will put a total of 50 spods over the 3 days. All the small bits gets the fish digging around and they associate it as a safe place as there are no lines. Don't break the rules it could cause more problems then it solves. tj |

| Re: what would you do Plus if it fished it's wotsits off for the next 3 monthes at night, and then you had to go back to days you'd be gutted.. | Re: what would you do Could you not perhaps give the new owners a call or an e-mail/letter asking if you could try a few nights .....they might be as interested as you, to find out how it fishes at night. They might even be grateful to have someone on site at night to deter poaching and long line fishing.......mac.... |
