| Re: Starting out I would definately call Argus up and complain as it is an incomplete set, the picture and text on the advert clearly shows it (see below), so it should be included. Its an intregal part ot the Carp set. Even if they have sold out, at the very least they should still knock the cost of the missing gear off of the price. Perhaps someone had previously returned it without its rod pod and Argos might not have checked it properly before re-sending it off to you. Quote from Advert: •Accessories: carp holdall, landing net and handle, rod pod, carp chair, bivvy, scales with pouch, unhooking mat, weigh sling, 2 bite alarms, 3 bulk spools of monofilament line, carp accessory pack, rig store. ![]() __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now) |

| Re: Starting out Whether you play Golf, Snooker, go fishing, etc there is noooooooo need to buy the most expensive equipment. I bought a Float and Feeder rod combo from Argos for £30 and I regularly catch plenty of Fish. I'd concentrate more on reading up ( Angling Times and Mail, Improve your Coarse Fishing, etc ) or hints and tips from fishing programmes and get better at fishing :) |
