Potatoes as bait

Does any one know how to prepare potato fir fishing, off tomorrow and could do with some advice! Any thing at all would be good! Thanks paul

tinned potatoes dye em red or yellow with food colour and flavour to choice ,,used to be a good old school carp bait ,,,,,try tinned chick peas as well great for carp and tench

try roasted potatoes especially on hair rigs! they work a treat!!

I read a classic fishing book last week (for the life of me can't remember the name or author) published early 70's I think and listed as one of the top baits for Carp at the time was potato. Will have to try these soon!
