Doobry Elastic Protector Question (Newbie Dafty Question)

Yet another beginery question from me concerning pole fishing.

I have some of the elastic protectors (Doobry's) and the thought occurs that once the elastic is all in place correctly, then when I unship the sections to store, the fact that the pole is fit-over will put the elastic under a little bit of stretch as it curls over the Doobry.

I know its not much in the large scale of things but do people think its worth rummaging around inside the pole to pull out the bung and unwind 1 length of elastic so that its then slack. (I have the stonfo small section 1to2 bungs, so dont think they have an available extraction tool)

Seems like a lot of faffing about if that little stretch is not worth bothering, but then if it makes a difference (especially with the length of time the pole is stored) then I need to know so I can do it.

Thanks for any thoughts :) Alex

Edit: Argh I think I posted this in the wrong section I was aiming for "General" sorry about that, my mistake
