Fishing near Tring, Herts Hello all, I have recently moved to Tring and am interested in taking up corse fishing again. Is anyone aboe to suggest a stretch of the Grand Union Canal where the fishing is good? I have walked around the reservoirs in the area which are well known for specimen fish, but thought I would start a little more gently by trying out the canal. I assume the usual rod licence is required, but I get the impression that some stretches are owned by clubs I look forward to any response. Regards, Jonny

Re: Fishing near Tring, Herts Hi Jonny, I haven't fished around Tring for years, however the Tring Anglers Association has most of the good fishing in and around Tring and is worth joining (see link). NB. I belong to Verulum AC which as an agreement with TAA to fish the Aylesbury Arm Tight Lines Keith __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now)

Re: Fishing near Tring, Herts According to their web site Pay-on-the-bank day tickets are available on most of their canal stretches but it is worth looking at their web site even if you decide not to join them to give you an idea of what and where the fish are coming out. But it is well worth joining the club as they have lots of other good waters as well. tight lines Keith __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now)
