Fishing the Exe in Flood

Went up on the exe yesterday fished it in flood not a thing,moved around a fair bit starting up by the mill on the exe and worked down to countess wear,hard work keeping bottom on my maggot feeder,stopped at the boat yard as this was calm and unnafected by the flow but still nothing,ive heard the bream hold up there in winter???,anyone have any suggestions on where a bite could be found in such conditions??

Feeder streams, if the water in them is clear, is the best bet. Big bags and fish much bigger than when the main river is normal. Float fishing and loose feed, stealth is the order of the day, Hope that helps.
