| Re: New miller dam Wakefield Well I now have advice on the dam. Take halibut pellets :). Started on maggots and pulled out a roach a throw anna then changed to worm to try get some bigger species but found that only attracted even smaller perch, finally I tried 12 mm halibut pellets hair rigged on to a size 14 hook and over a bed of fish meal and maggot ground bait and pulled 12 - 13 bream out ranging from 1 to about 3 pound. I have a few photos that I will put on when I get home tonight. There were no keep nets aloud so just singles photos unfortunatly would love to have seen them all together. Also saw three very large carp in the water but they were in the part of this big lake where you couldnt fish. All I all a brilliant day.     |
