| Night fishing Thinking of giving this a go although I'm somewhat apprehensive. I've bought a couple of 25 LED headlamps (I'm sure they'll be bright enough?). The place i'll be going has no lights anywhere in sight so obviously its going to be pitch black. How hard is it to fish at night? We'll be going for a nice big bream. I've got starlights for the rod tip and/or float but need to get clips or something to attach them. Got a good decent tent that we can stick up, maybe head out and get it setup before dark, then fish for a few hours, get some sleep then up again at first light. But im thinking "tangles" - they're bound to be some hassle to sort in the dark! Also landing a fish in the dark? Dangerous business if there's a drop off into the water? Any thoughts or tips lads? | Re: Night fishing Hi Pikehunter, I used to fish nights a lot and you will be surprised how your eyes will adapt to the darkness we only ever needed a torch to land the fish when at the bank. We used head torches to tackle up. I would check out where you are planning to fish beforehand and make a mental note of any deep banks tripping hazards that soRt of thing. Good fishing Tony. |
