Feeder rod help please

Hi i have just purchased a Shimano medium feeder rod it has come with three tips 2oz 3oz and 4oz please could someone explain what this meens many thanks in advance Tony.

Basically the lighter the tip, the more it will bend/more sensitive it is. I bought a quiver tip rod not so long ago and just use the middle tip to be honest. If you're like myself and just fish for fun, you won't really notice the difference!
