Talking Fishing for a couple of hours!!!

just been fishing at my local lake . caught 2 roach a crucian carp and a bleak on fine float tackle, and my dad got a nice roach aswell.
I also set up a rod on a bite indicator and as i have caught before on strawberry luncheon meat i decided to try some strawberry boilies with crushed boilies in a pva bag.
and had three great runs, got snapped on one, and the other took me into weed. Then landed a nice 6lb common carp. My first ever boilie caught carp !!
i am going to start fishing more in evenings now , fishing into darkness as this has proven to be the golden hour on all my local lakes.

When I first started using em the other year they used to float about a quarter mile down the lake before theyd sink lol, pleased to say they have vastly improved now

Re: Fishing for a couple of hours!!!

tie them up real tight mate trim off any edges and pop holes in the bag with your bait needle that way they sink easier. Also use a heavier lead. If you dont this will happen...cast out lead tries to hold bottom but cant pva bag floats above lead contents washed well away from your hookbait...you might as well throw your freebies in. Try using the funnel web pva you can tie off real neat bags that will stay right by your hook.

Re: Fishing for a couple of hours!!!

I tend to use mesh now in still waters much more aero dynamic and not as much mess around the hook
