 First Night fishing session 2010 I went night fishing on Thursday night with my brother at my local fishing lake, the lake isn't full of very big fish but there are a couple of very big carp in there. my dad gave me a lift to the fishery and he couldn't resist having a cast and the lucky git got one out within 10 mins on floating bread. i don't usually go night fishing so my neighbour gave me two fox micron bite alarms to borrow and we was using luncheon meat soaked in strawberry juice. with two rods out each. my brother was getting runs on both rods most of the night but was taken into weeds most of the time. but he managed two land a common of 8 lbs and some smaller carp. i didn't have a bite all night. by 3:45 am it was daylight already, so i changed to smaller hooks and smaller luncheon meat for bream. with an anglers mail in one hand and a sausage butty in the other,i waited for a bream bite when all of a sudden my bite alarm came to life. after a minute of being sat down thinking WTF is that noise i grabbed the rod and caught a 9.5lb carp that took me rite into the weeds. after that i got more and more runs and some more smaller carp. i know the fish aren't massive but fishing isn't always about catching fish.
