night fishing plastic baits

I am going night fishing soon, and i have some fake baits. i was going to use fake sweetcorn on the bottom with real sweetcorn as loose feed. Will this be an okay method at night? or do the fish rely on smell at night.

it will catch fish at night

put a couple in some sweetcorn juice to soak overnight before you go

^ i will soak them in sweetcorn juice then, i have already put some luncheon meat in strawberry and syrup juice to soak.
How long will the flavour last underwater though ?

I dont think soaking them will do much unless the plastic corn is absorbent , will it ??

the type i use take on flavour , most if not all plastic,s /rubber will take on flavour as it is porous
