Re: Help on bream

I feel that it all depends on what sort of water it is. If it is a water fished by slot of carp anglers then use pellet or 6mm boilies on the hook and try to use fishmeal grondbaits or som marine halibet pellet ground bait. However if carp are not really fished for then try a very sweet ground bait with more natural baits on the hook

Re: Help on bream

Me and my da have went out this last few nights. Fishing off the bottom using feeder and maggots. Got a really big perch on Tuesday night along with a few small bream and roach.

Last night there was no maggots left in the tackle shop so we got worms and i brought along sweetcorn as well. The worms didn't do much for us at all! So I tried the sweetcorn and it worked straight away, hooked into a nice Bream. Then not long after my da pulled out the biggest roach I've ever seen! Didn't have scales so not sure on the weight, but it was the same length as my boot (as the photo will show lol) Although to be honest, the photo doesnt do it justice! I got another Bream soon after and then NOTHING. After all that rain the river just turned brown so we decided to pack up and head home!

All in all, a great few nights fishing! And hopefully i'll get out tonight again!

Re: Help on bream

Hair rigged sweet corn and spam works well for bream. They're a bait-robbing nuisance if you're after carp.
