| Re: Float ledgering. try the locslide or the polaris float, they are a super bit of kit, they allow you to leger with a float, the tension on the line cocks the float ,they are ultra sensitive |

| Re: Float ledgering. Those floats are very good. I spend quite a lot of my time float ledgering at our club water at Crockerton, its an old brick pit, ad the lake bed slooes very rapidly in places. My basic set up is a small waggler, fixed, but considerably overdepth. That is at the furthest I plan to fish. The lake bed can drop a foot or more in only a foot or two of distance in some of my favourite swims, so a cast that is a bit short and you'd be overdepth, and a foot too far and your bait is not on the bottom. I use a short hooklength, 4"-6", I use a small swivel, then a bead, to cushion the effect of a the lead, which is either 1/8 or 1/4oz, depending on the range I intend to fish. I cast out, then tighten up so the the float appears to be normally shotted. bights are generally very positive. __________________ Ignore the margins at your peril |
