Giant eel !

has anybody else seen the massive 9lb 9oz eel in anglers mail this week, caught on lobworm, from colne valley lake hampshire. It measured 42.5 inches long and had a girth of 10.75 inches !!!!

he waited 2 years for 1 bite on his ''eel rod''

there is some big snakes in local lakes to me....my problem is im scared stiff of them otherwise i would love to have a go cos like i say i reckon there is some specimens in some of the lakes i fish!

New barn is supposed to have some specimens

Lol yes BW there is big ones in newbarn I've seen them caught upto 7lb I reckon some of the lakes in somerset have some huge ones in though


And yes I am terrified of them I can't describe it but I shake break out in hot sweats and could quite easily cry if I'm in contact with an eel

yet I have had pet snakes?!?!! No problem... There is just somethng about an eel and it's small yet big mouth I really can't describe it

i do a lot of eel fishing had them to 3lb 6oz and my mate holds the club record with a fish of 4lb 8oz.i'have never seen an eel of that size im just hoping that i will get to catch one before the day i die.
