Have seen people useing carp up to 5lb on the Ebro,

A Live bait is the most natural way of fishing there is ,

I have even used fry for live bait when carp fishing

Re: Livebaiting

No of course it doesn't make you an ogre Nick.

If I were fishing a large loch in scotland or the Ebro in Spain I would not have many qualms about using a 1lb or 2lb livebait of most of the larger species (other than silvers like Roach & Rudd of course), but on my local clubs lakes and rivers in England I would feel guilty because the other members would be having to pay for the larger fish that I would be using as bait for my pleasure and they wouldn't come cheap therefore I wouldn't think it would be fair on the other club members, not on the smaller waters we have in this country anyway.
Plus if everyone did it on our smaller English waters then you could end up with a situation where big gaps in the year classes of fish appeared and that wouldn't be good either.

You could always use simmo,s, F1,s and F2,s mate lol
Iam sure they would not be missed

ive always wondered why its a taboo subject as iam certain more people use live than will admit to it

wonder why my reputation never goes up?{little green box,s}
