| Re: air bivvy He says he has sold hundreds. Yet to see one on the bank though!!! Interesting concept. I still have bad memories of having to re-inflate camping airbeds in the middle of the night. | Re: air bivvy I knew a guy who had an inflatable tent, this was an old canvas dome and the four "ribs" where you normally put the poles were inflatable tubes, these all met at a valve at the top and the bottom of each was close off with two blocks of wood ( these needed to be wetted to close it properly ). It was a great tent, easy to put up and if you remembered to wet the blocks it would last all night! It did have the problem, like ALL inflatables ( I am not an expert on some of the more exotic recreational sorts!!) that the temperature does seriously affect the pressure in them. So this will cause them to over-inflate and leak a little air in the sun , and come the evening the air cools and the pressure drops and they can get a little limp ( the inflatables, now now!!). So yes, easy and quick to set up, but you will be continually re-pumping them up. __________________ Life is understood looking backwards, but it must be lived forwards. |
