| The Other Avon Tomorrow Just sorting the last bits of tackle for tomorrows trip to the Bristol Avon above Chippenham. Fullcreel has kindly offered to do the drive in his new & very green fishing wagon ( as I write this I realise this means I can have a beer on the bank  ).Haven't been up there for some months as it's either been desperately low or in flood recently , so really looking forward to it . Weather looks ok too. I've never found the fishing easy up there and have blanked more than once on that stretch but did manage a 4lb 4 chub exactly a year ago. However I've set myself a bit of a target for tomorrow ( more of a mission impossible ). Two new PB's , Pike and Perch. Ok , so they won't have to be monsters to qualify but it will still be a challenge . Will have a little go for a Barbel too at dusk as one hasn't come out of there since the club took on the water & it would be great if someone proved that they are there. It's funny how the looming close season focuses your mind and you suddenly want to fit in trips to all the rivers you didn't get round to in the last 9 months , as an indication of how seriously we are taking this Fullcreel has even promised to get out of bed before 10.00 so we get an early (for us) start & have more time on the bank  Well it's getting late , I better get back to chopping bacon grill and get those deadbaits out of the freezer, (write myself a note to remember to pick up a nice bottle of ale on the way), then off to sleep to dream of monster perch .     |

| Re: The Other Avon Tomorrow Ok Ian I guess that was a bit optimistic  Hi Ben , yes we're off to the Foxham section , must have been autumn last time I made it up there. Really looking forward to it ( if we ever get out of here !). Will post a report tonight or tomorrow. |
