Rods

Going to change my rods think i have made up my mind on what 1s to go for. Unsure what tc to go for at the moment im useing 2.75tc but thinking of going for a 3.00tc. 80% of my fishing is under 60yrds. Do i stick with 2.75 or go for 3.00tc?

Re: Rods

Do you do a lot of bag work ? ,will you be keeping the old set,
are you likely to need in the near future to be casting further ?

Poisson dans la Fleuve is on a distinguished road
Re: Rods

I assume if you are considering 3lb TC that you are looking to cast pretty big weights long distances looking for BIIIIGGGG fish?

For my carp fishing I actually went down from a pair of 2.75's to 2.5's purely because although both pairs had the same action, I get much more "feel" in the lower TC rods, with the 2.5's I have landed 32Lb Mirror's without problems and can cast large PVA bags 50 yards plus on 15Lb line no probs.

I only say all this because I do feel that the higher the TC you use, unless they are very high quality rods, you do tend to feel more distanced from the fish you are playing.... just a personal opinion.
