Yeah, i've not caught one in years. I used to catch them regularly on the River Hull at Tickton

my local is rammed, as its predomanantly a carp venue they get over looked! found this out on
a summer night session last year, had a 4.2lb (good eel in anyones book) on a hair rigged peparami
and pop up plastic sweetcorn??? so targetted them for a bit on the nights with dead baits,
good thing about my water everyone is carp and tench mental and blanks the big perch and eels in ther!

caught one last october out of the leeds liverpool canal 2 half lb it was caught a smaller one in the summer to same stretch of canal

hubby had one out of newhay on saturday he was fishing dog biscuit on top for carp when he fould hooked it on the side dont know how he managed it or why an eel should be after chum mixer but it was aout 3 foot long and 7 lb it was the biggest one i have seen..it was returned safe and sound
