| Re: Fishing derwent water? Ive not fished on Derwentwater for years, but i found Barrow Bay landing stage good for perch on live minnow I would never use that method now tho, anyway its banned on Derwentwater! I am sure that fishing from some of the promontories such as Friars Crag would be good due to the shelving off into deepish water. I remember hearing that the west shore (Cat Bells) side is good for trout around the Manesty area, in fact i have often seen them rising over there. Sorry i can't be more helpful, but hope this helps in some way. Just found this info: Prices: Adults £6 day £24 week. Juniors (12 -18) £3 day £12 week. |

| Try Coniston just up the road.Good for pike.Seen some good fish pulled out of there,Take my kids after perch every time We go there. If you stand at the Blue Bell cafe facing the lake and look left you can see a feeder steam.cross it(fairly deep)or go round it and there is an out crop fish that,Seen guys wade a good way out as well. BTW get the perch off the jetties, you can watch them take the bait.Back to when u were 10. |
