just inherited a new reel (well say new its a hand me down )any way its a jarvis walker hj86 devil (old model,how old im not sure) would this be a siutable reel for carping or not all i know is its australian and endorsed by penn

I can't see any reason why you couldn't use it for carp, on looking on the net it seems man enough, they say it has ball bearing, how big is the reel will it take 10lb+ line. if so then it should be fine. if not then maybe you could use it for small carp rather than useing it for lumps. Hope this helps.

yeh it takes 10lb so should be fine then cheers will have to re line it now and take it out
