| Re: getting worms at night As the subject seems to have changed and the original subject 'gone of the boil' presumably you are talking about Permanganate of Potash, if so you might have a point, and why should it not work for lug and rag for that matter. I learned about it from the local bowling green carers and I have tried it myself and it certainly did work but in my case I think I over did the quantity of powder to the water as we ended up with a blue lawn (a chemist should be able to advise on strengths). It is quite a powerful dye so you have to be careful with it if you 'have a go'. It is also an excellent disinfectant too and excellent to rid a pond of algae again you have to be careful with the mix as the fish will end up in heaven. Have fun PETE |

| Re: getting worms at night ahh, pottassium permagnate?,a purple/black crystal. going off topic, we used to use this at work to fumigate poultry sheds, a purple/black crystal we'd mix an ounce or 2 with formalin and stand back & seal the building for a day or 2. i never did work out which gas was produced but it was a damn good insecticide. __________________ beer so many venues, so little time. |
