Kennet and Avon Canal.

Hi there,

looking to go to K&A this weekend, devizes, just wandering what i would expect to catch on general baits such as worm, maggot, corn, that type of thing and I'm also putting a pike rod out, any one no the records on the canal??

If you go at the bottom of the locks in the pools theres alot of nice carp in that area.
you will get the chance of roach rudd gudgeon skimmer bream perch tench eels pike and some nice carp around the to 25lb

I have heard/read about good perch fishing, so plenty of chopped worms would be a good idea, also tench, if the nights don't get too cold too quickly.

In 9 yrs of fishing in wilts, have not fished canal once, shame on me.
I'm told there's ruffe in there, some people swear that to be so.

At the bottom of the locks at the top of kane hill. A mate has alot of nice carp from that part.

I have fished it at hilperton alot years ago was where i cought my first tench.
Never had a ruffe tho.
