Wink Help!

im going to be fishing a lake. it its only about 3 and a half foot deep. And ive been told that it doesnt have any deeper spots, the lake bed is covered in silt
and the lead sinks into the silt, there is an island bout 150+foot away covered in trees overhanging the water. There are pike in the water and i have seen a photo of a 27lb carp caught from there. The lake isnt fished that often and there are alot of small tench and roach. How would you recommended i fish it. Mostly after big carp.
