Try a silver dexter (10gram weight) or the Toby lures, silver or gold. There are a million variations but I have always found the basic silvers work best.

Dont be put off from lure fishing for trout by the fly anglers, a lot of fly anglers tend to look down on bait and lure fishing for trout.
