I am going to be fishing the river trent soon it is a very fast river as it is tidal. what method should i use to get the groundbait straight to the bottom of the river. should i use pva, cage feeder, or any other way? |

| Re: groundbait in rivers I use a cage feeder and if your feeding groundbait balls in to your swim I always take a load of stones with me thus when rolling up a ball of groundbait I can put a stone in the middle which makes it sink fast. __________________ Richard|Sea Fishing |Carp Fishing| Spud Gun | Zander fishing | Fishing Reports | Hunting Reports |

| Re: groundbait in rivers Also dont forget closed end pellet swimfeeders as they do a good job holding the ground bait back a bit but if the flow is that hard I would stick to micro pellets and hempseed ,, good luck bye the way __________________ Richard|Sea Fishing |Carp Fishing| Spud Gun | Zander fishing | Fishing Reports | Hunting Reports |

| Re: groundbait in rivers i use a tight meshed onion bag ,fill it with bread ,pellets corn etc , i then put this up stream of me so that the current washes it out of the bag and down stream. I then fish a cage feeder |

| Re: groundbait in rivers Some binding agent might help, get the ground bait down to the river bed before it breaks up. |
