| Re: Spinners of floats? (shore fishing) it depends really. you can fish on the bottom using a ragworm or squid bait. it will catch you bream, bass, smoothounds and pollock. mid surface(floatfishing) using a meduim float with a 1 oz wieght size 10 hook with either a mackerel strip or sandeel. will catch you mackerel, bass and garies. rock fishing float fishing mainly caus of snags. float fish a bit of bread for a mullet or bass. a crab or ragworm bait for a wrass, bass. harbour fishing. ideal for wrass, bass, flounder and mullet on the bottom ragworm or lugworm is your best bet for flounders shoal bass and wrass float fishing a bit of bread will get you mullet and the larger bass freelineing a slice of bacon, chicken skin or sausage this will get you bass into double figure if there there. mainly the average from 3-6lb. the easiest way to catch mackerel and shaol bass are feathers. storm shrimp bait are my favorite. use a 3oz wieght and wop it as far as you can, or if they are on the surface cast just over the shoal and retrieve throught the shoal. all the best mate ![]() ollie |
