Smile maggots..

What is the best way to keep maggots for a long week of fishing???

The nearist tackle shop is 2hrs drive away and they dont sell maggots. I will be fishing for a mixof fish so i will use ground bait fake bait corn meat bread but maggs are the best. I will be using red mags i normal just leave them outside as i only do about 2 days of fishing and at the end there nearly life less. Can they even last a week and if so how should what temp shall i try and keep them at

(i will admit it i am not a true angler i dont put maggots in my mouth to warm them up)

P.s have the price of them gone up 1/2 pint £1.50 and 1 pint £4 is the a bit too much i have seen them on the internet for about £1.80 for pint..

Re: maggots..

£2.20 a pint here, if you dont have a fridge to keep them in then use an old washing up bowl with cold water in, place your box of maggots in the water makin sure the water dosnt go over top of bait tub and it should keep maggots cooler than just leaving them out, just change water if it starts to warm.

if a pint is £4 and 1/2 pint is £1.50 then buy 2 half pints and you have saved a pound
