Those pesky bream

now there are some bream on the section of canal i fish around 8 of them swimming together but they wont take the bait i even lowered my line to 2 foot so the bait was infront of ther mouths but they copletley ignored it what would be the best method for these ,bear in mind the bottom is really silty so could do with not disturbing it any ideas?

in my experience bream will not feed when they do what you describe,i would be inclined to fish a night there,
put a bed of feed down and wait for them to get their heads down in darkness
best of luck
