I think the options so far are Warsash, Selsey or Lepe. Anyone got any other ideas?

Re: Forum Smoothound meet 2007

Selsey, Warsash, lepe or Beaulieu & probably sometime in July is as near as we've got at the moment mate. Still need to find out some tidetimes for these areas & set up a vote for the final venue. Anyone else got any thoughts on the matter?

Re: Forum Smoothound meet 2007

Now that weve had the shortest night and summer is fast aproaching i thought i d look into tides and marks for our anual non smut meet-
I think the venue is between the 4 following marks-

Lepe

Warsash

Beaulieu shore(not sure on the spelling?)

Selsey(either west beach or a move further round to Pagham, day dependent)

The 2 dates that stand out for me are-

June 30th with a high tide at pompey at 0016. hight 4.4m (spring first day)
July 14th 0019 4.6m

All the above venues have high tides no more than 20 mins either side of the one at Portsmouth.
Have a look at this link to read up on the venues and see what you think, also to see some photos and get you excited as its only 6 months away
Solent Fishing Guide
Anyway post what you think ,its got the potential to be made into a really good day with a bbq and Rob (maghouse) has kindly donated beer for all.
Cheers Rob
