Re: 2010 5th Annual Smutt meet details.

Holiday all booked and ready to go. Depending on how the weather looks, there is a feeling of turning up sometime on the Friday. Well if you're gonna do it......

All I need to do now is remember how to catch a decent fish before July.

You coming to show us how it's done then Rob?

Re: 2010 5th Annual Smutt meet details.

great job yet again greenhart, for the ability of turning talk into reality mate!

hope i dont get slatted down for this (concerning catch and release)
smoothys zap a hell of alot of energy in the fight (especialy the bigguns) and somtimes just dumping them back in the surf isnt to best of the lil sharks welfare!
somtimes they need to power up, and for that u really need to get in and hold
them till ther ready to go! so waders for the wooseys and shorts and old trainers for the hard core! somthing thats commonly practiced down my way
in recent years and is catching on with the more conservation minded anglers!
with this we have seen a marked drop in the fatalitys seen at low tide arfter the manic smoothy bashes we get!
just a thought.

Re: 2010 5th Annual Smutt meet details.

I'm between contracts atm, but have 'booked' the couple of days for the smutt meet by making sure all the tenders etc I'm sending out have those dates reserved. I am lookiing forward to doing some fishing, and will hopefully be able to take up the offers of suitable tackle.

Would anyone mind if I also bring my 'work gear' We may be able to get a bit of a write up in the angling press, especially if we get some good fish (and if I get some decent pics of said fish of course) and a decent turnout. Who knows?

Consider yourself promoted to official Smutt meet photographer Mark. Just so long as I don't end up in any embarassing caption cmp pics LOL.

Not sure we can allow such blatent nationalism, unless you were to bribe us by passing around a drop of Scotch. (Single malt preferably) Not sure what the Welsh mob are bringing. Probably some evil brew made from fermented sheep.....

I'm a vodka man mate, thougha drop of Glenfiddich may warm the cockles

Would like to see a few welsh flags too - England will have been home from the world cup for a month by then so you should see a fire sale of those annoying little flags that people attach to their cars
