I'm sure even Welshmen could beat those crap south coast sea anglers... Right, now i've stired things up, i'll just sit back & watch what happens (Glad I live in Wiltshire)

Taff's Vs English, who would be up for that then?

You do have some good looking sheep over that side of the channel Mike...

Right now the Zander meet is out of the way, I need some suggestions for venues & dates for the smutt meet. Looking for venues that can be fished at all states of the tide with ideally a good pub & takeaway nearby . Also need to consider parking & walking distance to beach. I personally fancy Chesil beach this year as some good smutts were caught there last year. Problem is Chesil gets very crowded in the summer & this can make for a long walk. Selsey was nice & theres a other few possible venues along the solent & lyme bay areas. Anyone else got any thoughts on the matter. Also if we are to have a simultanious meet in Wales, we need an organiser & suggestions for there too.

Re: Smutt meet 2010

I'll start with Hayling Island then.
DEcent smutt venue, less tide and weed than selsey. Very angler friendly, easy parking, shops and chippies at your back. Good venue fo other species.
I might bring my Yak

Sorry Jonn, I'm sure I saw a sign saying no dogs or yaks on the beach at Hayling Island between 1st April & 1st October.... Plus you'd need a bloody huge poop scoop
