these guys are from sussex, south coast etc....

you take em to aberthaw and they'd think they'd been dropped on the moon!!!! 13 meter tides, 6 knot current, rotten bottom and loosing a weight a chuck (if thats all) and heaven forbid them trying to sort out their beach buddies on that ground!!!

lol sorry guys had to be done...but seriously you would wonder how to fish it, which is not easy!!!

fished layde bay and in comparison that is a walk in the park in comparison...

i'll dig a couple of pics of it at low and it goes all the way out like it, rock ledge after rck ledge which get rougher below the water line.

i like my rough ground but this really is something else..whether you would want a social event at it.....

i'll look at some tides for you.

i also know a nice little spot on the gower too we had hounds upto 12lb last year but you only fish 30 yards out with a light bass rod..not big enough for a social gathering but if a couple of you are up this way....

Re: Smutt Trophy 2009

Sand point is a great mark, hell of a walk

llangenith for the golden greys august and september.

never really gone for them, may be the opportunity for a meet seeing as theres a campsite behind the beach. Also round the corner (about 2 mile walk) are some the rock marks fishing onto sand between broughton and bury holmes which produce hounds in the dark..mind you there only small..avg 4lb with a smattering of 6lbers

Be nice to fish a nice sandy venue. All I ever seem to fish is Rock, Mud or Shingle...
