If Phil Nevil can get a game then why can't I? After all I'm 40 and overweight, enjoy a pint and a good curry, haven't kicked a ball in years but why should that stop the call-up comming?

Didn't see the game last night, so can someone explain this to me please? Phil Nevil hasn't got a left foot and doesn't play at left back. How come Gareth Barry didn't start in this role (Although it really PAINS me to suggest a Vi**a player, I thought he deserved a proper go last night.)
