| Re: baggie fans. Haven't really heard a lot about it mate. From what I've heard, all this fuss is about someone setting a fire exitinguisher off. Hardly crime of the century but I agree it doesn't reflect too brilliantly on the club. I have heard that worse things happend (I don't know exactly what though) on last seasons pre-seaons tour of Denmark, but these never got into the press for some reason. Might be because Robson's got a slightly higher media profile than Megson. Who knows. All I know is that when you take away a load of highly paid young blokes, on a trip which is supposed to be bonding/team building and I'd be surprised if something like this didn't happen. We'll see if the trip was a good idea or not when we play Boro. None can argue it didn't have an affect last year...... Rich. |

That's not the most worrying thing though. I bought one of those lucky goal tickets the other day. You know the one's where the ticket describes a period of a game, and if the next Albion goal is scored during that period, you're a winner. Well, like I say, I bought one of these tickets from a steward, got to my seat, opened it up and the damned thing said "MAY". No one chooses the Albion. You've either got it in your blood or you haven't. My dad took me to watch an FA Cup game against Everton when I was 6, and that's been it ever since. We drew 1-1 that day, and went on to lose the replay. You get used to poor football and bad results. It makes me wonder what state the game would be in if all the Arsenal/Chelski/Man utd supporting kids these days had to endure regular trips to the likes of Port Vale/Colchester/Torquay. Now I'm a Dad myself, if my lad takes an interest in football, I think I'd rather he become an Exeter city fan than anything else. At least he'd get to watch his team on a regular basis, and that's what it's all about. Cor bugger, that turned into a bit of a rant. Sorry. Rich. |
