Re: baggie fans.

That's what I'm saying biggun. At least they're following their local team. If that's where they've been brought up then in my opinion, that's who they should follow.

Okay, you could make an exception for Leeds.......

Rich.

Not the only ones by a long shot Ray. Just not too many on this forum. Have you found Rivals, the Boing list and WBAzone? I don't really post on them really cause it gets a little too stressed out for me, but there are loads of Albion fans on the net.

I much prefer a chilled out forum like this. You don't get the petty arguments every 5 mins. Plus it's not filled with doom and gloom every Saturday evening...

Rich.

Re: baggie fans.

At least you tried Paul.

If my son takes an interest in football (And apparently, I'm not allowed to push him, although we've been working on his left foot, and I reckon he's a natural at 13 months ......) I'll take him to Exeter City.

However, living in the footballing meca that is Devon (Plymouth and Torquay the only league sides.) you just know that he'll end up following one of the big fashionable clubs. (Or if I can persuade him, Spurs. Just to upset his gooner mother..... Hmmm nah, I couldn't be that cruel.)

Rich.

Spot on mate. "The Baggies" is just one of a couple of nicknames for West Bromwich Albion FC. There are many theories as to why they're called this. Some say it's because the factory workers who formed the club used to wear long baggy work trousers, others say that it's because the takings from the game used to be carried from one side of the pitch to the other in big bags at half time. Who knows?

When 5:45pm on a Saturday comes round, I generally have my own personal nicknames for them, none of which I would like to repeat on here.

I got put off Rugby as a kid. I'm not the biggest bloke in the world, so I was always stuffed out on the wing, where I'd get battered to kingdom come all the time. Still, it taught me how to run quickly I guess.

As for the cricket, well it's not going too badly today. Mr Hoggard has been on fire this morning I understand...

Rich.

Talking Re: baggie fans.

What does Brian Robson do when The Baggies win a game?

He turns off the playstation and goes to bed!
