well as a non footy fan( but supporter of england) heres my 2 penneth worth

result well i could see that coming
if we were good enough too play in euro than we should not have been scratching for a un earned draw on last match
we have hung onto past glories for wey wey too long

its not all the managers fault( although guess as usual in footy he will take wrap) hes not on the pitch during the 90 minutes
there are 11 overpaid players tartining arround who cannot gell as a team and cant be ar**d to play as one either
and also obviously not bothered if england win

hopefully this will help sort the sad bunch out and get something sorted

The manager might be partially at fault,but you have to blame the overpaid deadbeats on the pitch for the poor performances ,they get paid a fortune to play like "Twats".

McClaren picks the team and sets the system, so he is held responsible on that score.

Having said that, I think the majority of the blame should fall on the shoulders of the players. If you are world class, as they seem to think they are, judging by the money they demand, then you should be able to play regardless of the system. If Pele, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo etc were playing last night, they would still have performed individually to the best of their ability.

Another huge portion of the blame has to go towards UEFA and the FA. The current situation in this country regarding football is not good, with 90%+ of the top flight being made up of foreign players. This does not allow our home grown talent to flourish. Last night, take Peter Crouch as an example. He is our lone striker and spends most of his time sat on the Liverpool bench as foreign stars have forced him out. You can't be on top of your game when you are not getting the match time. They were discussing a suggestion that teams can only have 5 foreign players on the field at any one time, which I think would help our national team.

Jose Murinho is a great coach, and I'm sure would do well as Engalnd boss, but you have to work with the materials given to you, so I'm not convinced it would be the turn around people are expecting. Also, he is one of the biggest culprits for the problem of foreign players!

Just my two pennies worth, I'm sure it will provoke debate!!

to talk of the england players as a team, that is surely a contradiction in terms we had 11 SINGLEplayers on that field last night. poor peter crouch stood out as the only team player,never hesitateing to controle the ball and pass on to his taem mate,but he whas as allways on his own. croatia attacked twice and scored twice,they played england off the pitch. we can not continue to blame the manager he can dictate the team and formation but if we do not want to play with heart and sole all he can do is get rid and start again.

biggest question is why anyone would want too be england coach/manager call em what you will ?? you are soon either the most loved or hated man in england above anyone else

Well no matter who they have managing the team its the players that need to start playing with a bit of pride and passion.

Mclaren has gone now and i think any manager will have a hard job getting England winning on a regular basis, we have no depth or strength with the reserves and are too reliant on a few key players.
