| Re: england 2 croatia 3 My ten penneth worth .... 1. 4-5-1 - what a joke - we were there to win not play for a draw ... 2 Crouch up front - no problem with that, he did his job really well knocking the ball down every time for ...... er ..... who ? 3. ... the midfield - they were non existent - they should have been lapping up Crouch's knock downs but ... 4. ... they didnt - NO effort whatsoever - you should be busting a gut to get on balls like that .... I missed the very start of the game but watched the rest - the first time I heard Lampards name was when he took the penalty ! 5. Why not play Beckham from the start - he definatley had an impact on the game - if he is not match fit - bring him off in the second half ... 6. Carson was the complete wrong choice keeper - Robinson is better but James even better - not biased - but why on earth not play James who is far more experienced than Carson and far more reliable than Robinson - I know he has had his faults but as 'Pompey hater' Alan Hansen said - James is having a storming season at Pompey ... So - we will have a peaceful summer next year .... What to do - my opinion .... Scrap the team and start afresh - lots of young keen English players who would play their hearts out for England .... Limit the Premier league to each team having 5 overseas players per game - that will undoubtedly give some of our talent a chance ... if it means revenue goes down, wages will go down and put pride back in the game - if it means the prima donnas wont be able to afford a Bentley each month ... shame ...
