Bass fly hooks

Just won 100 size 1/0 Stainless steel hooks on EBay for £3.20. Time to start tying some Bass flys methinks. Might even tie up some Mackerel feathers for the boat too. Be nice to have some that don't rust....

where they belong mate .. in the 70's

i wouldnt recommend tying a set of mackerel feathers.. thats one ball of trouble that will sit on chesil for the next 40 years ..

on a lighter note i have approx 5,000 hooks here .. let me know next time you want some

I'm planning on tying up a couple of sets of mackie feathers purely for use on my boat. It will just be nice to leave them aboard & not find them covered in rust next time I use them. What hooks do you have? I must confess I mainly use Varivas. Got total confidence in em...

Varivas for me to bud .. never found or used a better shore or boat hook..
though i do use smaller worm pattern mustads .
I have pack after pack of aberdeens and heavier pattern o'shaughnessys ideal for the offshore work , plus countless uptide vikings here so next meet i'll stick some in the boot
got enough conger traces to hook every one in the sea

Could definately use a few Conger Traces mate. One of my target species for the boat next year....

I know what you mean about feathers, bl@@dy frustrating, I did exactly the same last year and they out fished some other popular flavours too, I tied up some pink ones. .
