River Adur Very very unproductive evening yet again with the fly rod up the river and too windy on the beach to fish, spent a couple of hours at the same tidal state which proved productive before, just seem to be blanking more a less every session. The river system seems to be devoid of Bass which is rather worrying, when fishing the Ouse several years ago you couldn't go wrong for school Bass on rag worm. I think we could be in for some very lean years down South if this keeps up, I'm sure they should still be in the River system unless somebody knows different?

Re: River Adur Like i said on the other post, the bass fishing this year on the rivers i fish is the worst ive known. but we keep on trying waiting for the bang on our flies. I wonder if the low river levels got any thing to with it? It might affect the prey they are feeding on which brings them up the tidal stretches in the 1st place. Jeff

Re: River Adur Well the water clarity is pretty good and i was admiring the fry content in our river system the other day as that was the only thing to admire. Honestly i really do not know what's going on, even the spiders crabs are on the lean side this year which is very abnormal. We down South havent experieced cold/extreme weather as we had the latter part of last year and i can only assume that had a big part to play....you never know that indian summer that everybody goes on about might actually happen this year! LOL, tight lines mate. ![]()
