Well just got back and managed a mixed bag! one Bass, schoolie, one very nice mackeral but lost it in the surf and what i thought was going to be a nice fish, was about a 2lb gar hooked in the tail...great fun evening!

Seams like u got it sussed, 3 good fighting fish,
ive never caught mackeral or garfish on the fly ibet that garfish went
like hell hooked in the tail. id after go down the gower to try and get them.
did u manage any photo,s?

The Gar was very entertaining especially backwards! Really did make me smile, thought i had struck gold.
Conditions were absolutely perfect, loads of surface action, warm barmy night, I fear i,m missing out tonight too, its so still here, but needs must, have to get all the boat rods set up for the kiddie winkles....going out in the boat tomoz, dug some lug tonight and armed with squid to sort out the bigger Bream...cannot forget camera this time its in my bag ready!

Its very funny, especially seeing peoples faces, when they are feathering for eon's, great fun on a light rod.
