Bass fishing tonight

Just finished tying a couple of bass flys for tonight.
1st session of the year suppose to have gone acouple uf weeks ago
but the weather went against us.
Checked the river up here looks little high but clear, high water 10. 56pm
at Cardiff 10.3 m which is just about perfect.
Hopefully have something to report in morning.

Fished hard for three hours no luck,
There might have been to much fresh water as the colour didnt change
as the tide came in,Still it was nice to be out .
Watched a barn owl flying around for 5 mins.
Trying again tonight.

I,m starting to actually wonder if the temperature of the water is going to put every back for a couple of months rather than a couple of weeks?

needs to rise another 3 degrees to make things start happening, no Bass out on the inshore wrecks down here yet. bad bad news

went out again monday night not a bite in 3 hours fishing.

The fishing is mightly strange, had a long session out in the boat, nothing big enough to take and eat, although we did have a rather large wrass, infact the biggest i,ve seen caught. Dabs and huge pout, a small plaice, rockling also made an appearance, alot more fish were caught this weekend than any other so far, which might point to the sea temp warming up? this was saturday 24/4/10.

Giving it another go tonight,
the bass should be in down here by now fingers crossed.
High water about 11.45pm 10.5m at Cardiff .
