Re: Favourite Bass Flies?

I tend to stick to Surf Candy's and Deceivers.

Would like to try poppers on the surface this year!

Re: Favourite Bass Flies?

Couple of easy flies to make which have brought me a lot of luck

Silver body wing made of hair extensions from Wilkison with a bit of flash tied in
plus a 4mil gold bead for weight.

Good luck on your Bass hunt this year.

Flyman

erm, you only get the funny looks in Wilkinsons if you buy all 5 that they have left and then ask "Have you got any of the bright coloured ones as well? "

Excellent, I can't wait to see their faces..........i think there is one in Brighton, But as you probably heard, Brighton is full of weirdos! I was born there! lol! Don't worry though, I'm as straight as they come!
Many thanks for your imput, saw a fella flyfishing from a boat just off shore, brilliant mark, very rocky weedy area and it harbours many bass, should be fun.
I was reading some of your old posts flyman, you seem to have it licked finding bass holding areas, gonna try also our local river, watch this space ill post results.

I use all different size hooks , at the moment im tying them up on size 2
carp hooks easier to cast as im useing 6 wf line.
The eyes i think give the fly a better look but run out of them myself.
I hope to get up brecon this weekend to pick some up , u havnt got to use the
eyes a lot of my flys havnt got them and still catch just as well.
