Back from Cuba

Got back from Cuba last week,i couldn't get with any guides for my fortnight as they had all been block booked, luckily i had tarpon which were in channels around the back of the hotels and i found a shoal of bonefish which worked the beach at high water early in the day,so ended up having a great fortnight's fly fishing catching both the above.

Re: Back from Cuba

Nice one.

I have heard the Bonefish are really hard to catch.

Re: Back from Cuba

Hi i have been to cayo guillermo twice and done ok for the tarpon in the channels behind the hotels on fly, as for spinning you want to go to the rocks at pilar beach, you will need some big poppers like chug bugs and skitter pops in white red heads, there is big tarpon amberjack and snapper, you will need good strong tackle.
Tight Lines Ray.
