Tackle For Salt Water

I AM THINKING OF TRYING FLY FISHING FOR BASS
Will I need special gear or will my salmon kit do as I'm worried that it might rust

Re: Tackle For Salt Water

If it's good quality gear it should be OK. However make sure you give it a thorough rinsing in fresh water as soon as possible after fishing & keep your reel / reels seat well lubricated with suitable oil. I use WD40 & smear fresh reel grease on the reel spindle, but take care not to get it on your flyline. Also buy or tie flies that use quality corrosion resistant hooks. Good luck.
