| 1st bass Had a phone call of a mate tuesday who checked our local river for bass on monday night ,he caught one but there were plenty about.so it was all set for us both to go last night after the football.Ipicked him up 10.30 pm it took us 20 mins to get there opened the boot he forgot is fly rod, what a start i offerd to go back but it was such amild calm night that he be happy to watch sit down and have 1 of is funny fags. I was useing a floating line with small sparkle fly on the dropper tied on a long shank hook and aluminium tube on the point,as soon as we got to our spot you could see fish splashing about, first cast fish on and off just as quick. The next 3 hours carried on like that i landed 13 to 3lb ,11 to the dropper fly 2 to the tubefly useing a fast figure of 8 retreve.we finished fishing at 2am taking 2 fish home with us. Sorry icant say were we was my mates wouldnt be to happy. Ill try and learn how to put photo,s on here one day any tips please. FLYMAN ![]() |
