| Arbor knot..? this knot seems to easy... just 2 overhand knots and thats ment to hold all of your line? the knot doesnt even look neat... can i just use a uni knot for tieing the backing line to the fly reel ? __________________ Fishing for a living     |

| Re: Arbor knot..? Use the uni knot every time,the americans have about 6 knots which will do almost every job to perfection and they are all based on the uni knot. __________________ Plenty preparation plus proper pratice,prevents piss poor performance. |

| Re: Arbor knot..? The arbor knot is simple but it is perfect for what it is trying to do (i.e. hold the line on the reel. If you think about it it can't pull through because the second knot prevents it. I use it on all my reels now but at the end of the day you are into the fish of a lifetime if it ever gets tested to the full! |
