Smile Re: Broken fly rod!

It probably will depend on the make of the rod & how old it is. Some of the better quality rods such as Orvis, Sage & Sharpes come with a lifetime guarantee & hold stocks of spares for all their models. It would not be worth trying to repair the broken section as it woul affect the casting action. It may be worth placing an advert in the angling press to see if anyone has the part you need or look on Ebay for a similar model. Good luck!!!

Re: Broken fly rod!

A bit of fisherman's superstition to follow....NEVER let on that you like a rod too much or that one is your 'favorite'!
I did one day, w/an old yellow Eagle Claw rod........broke 6" off the tip that day!!!.........YOU may have heard the faint sound of cussing that day...it was me .
